Appointment of management consultants at Irene Country Club
The Board of the club has agreed in principle to appoint Mark Wiltshire Golf (MWG) as management consultants for the entire scope of operations at Irene Country Club.
MWG will be appointed to assist in the following specific areas of operation:
- Legal
- Facilities
- Finance
- Membership
- Golf operations, including retail
- Golf course maintenance
- Marketing / Events / Partnerships
- HR / People
- Systems / Processes / Resources
- Information technology & systems
MWG will work in partnership with the board to ensure that the club’s vision of being a first class facility that respects our heritage and embraces families is implemented.
Mark Wiltshire Golf has a proven track record in the golfing industry, both in South Africa and the rest of the world, for providing all the services required to establish, manage and operate golf clubs in a variety of circumstances. They have offered the club an extremely attractive deal and have already indicated key areas where they can make a meaningful difference.
MWG will have direct input into the appointment of the key management staff at Irene, as shown in the organogram below. The currently employed staff will benefit from the experience , mentorship and guidance MWG has to offer.
The Board has full confidence that this decision is undoubtedly in the best interests of the club and will result in a substantial improvement in the services offered to members and in the club’s overall financial position.
