Well into January and somehow the December holidays seem so far away. While a lot of members went away, life at the Club continued. Plenty visitors enjoyed our beautiful course and during the festive season we had 3005 18 holes & 126 9 hole rounds. Fortunately we still had a couple of members hanging around to play 1477 18 holes & 52 9 holes. The rain we had was absolutely great and the evidence was quite noticable, hopefully most of you haven't been near the rough lately. Hollowtyining will be taking place on Monday 18 January in preparation for the year and our Annual Club Champs.
The Tennis Section also took a break from socials, but are up and running as well. The Tennis Coaches Hut could unfortunately not be completed before the end of last year, but they will be finishing the roof etc off starting Monday 25 Jan.
Thursday 2 leave home 4 dinners will be starting Thu 28 January and we already have a big Bowls crowd that have booked. The sms will be sent out to entice you with affordable dishes.
The year started off with us already hosting a wedding on 2nd January. We are fortunate to have two more weddings confirmed for February and hopefully this is a sign of things to come. Remember that all venues are open to birthday parties, weddings, conferencing, functions, socials etc.... (Members receive extra discounts and special TLC)
On the Maintenance side we are hoping to move into our long awaited & newly renovated offices. It will be great to start working in a professional environment where we are not embarrassed to meet members, clients & potential new members. The men's change room is another of those long outstanding projects, unfortunately Walter from Niche Joinery was in a vehicle accident. Fortunately he has recovered and you should see some changes in the last week of January.
