ICC Tennis court booking policy
- All non tennis members must pay to book a court. This includes members from the Golf, Bowls, Squash and Cricket sections. Members must show their member card when booking a court. Car keys or a R50 deposit must be collected to ensure that members return the key. Currently booking fees are as follows:
- R30 per hour unless playing with member. Playing with member makes it R15 per hour per person.
- At night with lights, R50 per hour unless playing with member. Playing with member makes it R25 per hour per person.
- All courts are locked at all times, except during club activities: These include
- Saturday Social (13h30 until 19h00 on Saturdays)
- Thursday evening social from 17h00 -21h00
- Sunday winter league Social (dates to be given)
- Official tennis coaching
- Erika has volunteered Ntando to assist with court bookings until he is fully booked with stringing. Shop staff to assist Ntando when necessary.
- Tennis will revert to a paper based booking system. A file will be placed at the shop with court booking sheets. Members must phone or visit the shop to book a court (until such time that an Internet booking system can be put in place at the shop).
- Signage on courts will show “No unauthorized play allowed. Bookings at Sports shop”
- On closure of the sports shop in the late afternoon’s keys for courts 4 and 5 will be given to the pub and an instruction of the court booking for that evening. If a court is available and a non-member has not booked they must pay for usage of the courts at above rates at the pub.
- Coaches are to be given a set of keys on the following conditions:
- They abide and help enforce the court booking system.
- They lock any unlocked courts.
- They book out their coaching times
